About the Owners

Chun and Rachel Siev were married in 1987 and have been working side by side for over 30 years. Chun grew up in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge regime. (To watch just one part of Chun's story, check out Year Zero also filmed and produced by his son David) He came to America as a refugee as well as bringing his love of Asian flavors.  With his hard working and supportive wife by his side, they opened Rachel's in 1998. Together they brought new flavors and a new style of cooking to Bad Axe! Chun and Rachel have four children; Jaclyn, Michelle, David, and Raquel. They love working together, and being part of such an amazing community.
